On August 29, ProSustentia members were invited to speak at two important events.
The first was Ethanol Day, as part of the International Corn Congress.
The second was the JUCsA (Jornadas Universitarias de Ciencias Agrarias y del Ambiente).
In this article we tell you a little more about both events.
Within the framework of the International Corn Congress, producers, local and international specialists, deputies, and high national and provincial officials met to outline the prospects of bioethanol in our country and in the region.
Our Director, Federico Moyano, was summoned to convey the importance of the carbon footprint in agriculture as a tool to establish the baseline of a decarbonization strategy and to follow up and monitor it.
In this sense, biofuels make it possible to achieve a reduction in the carbon footprint of the sector that uses them.
On the other hand, during the JUCsA, which took place at the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires, Camila Rastelli Lanari, Florencia Berardi and Laura Amdan, from ProSustentia’s Nature-Based Solutions team, presented the work they do to achieve the certification of carbon credits, detailing the stages of the process, key issues such as transparency, eligibility conditions and existing certification options.
They also explained the types of projects we are working on.
More than 50 students of Agronomy and Environmental Sciences of the UBA participated in their presentation.
In this link you can access the recording of the dissertation.
We are pleased to be invited to such relevant events, both for the international agricultural sector and for the professionals who will work in it in the future.
