On Friday, August 23, we gave two trainings in Gobernador Virasoro, Corrientes, in the context of the joint projects with AIKE, Rolón Cué (ARR) and Villa Zenaida (IFM). There, our Nature Based Solutions (NBS) Project Manager, Laura Amdan, together with Alejandra Balanda, talked about the carbon certification projects, their environmental and social objectives, as well as the results obtained to date. They also explained about the voluntary Carbon Market and its relationship with Climate Change, ending with an exchange with the audience. The first training was held at the Agrotechnical Institute at Las Marías. Around 70 people attended, among them students of the Technicature on Wood Industrialization and Agricultural Production Management, teachers and directors of the institute. The talk dealt with the Carbon Market and how Nature-Based Solutions are included to mitigate climate change. In addition, a description of the projects in which ProSustentia advises AIKE was made. Forestry Engineer Guido Andres Petruszynski also participated, explaining the plantation design in these fields and the different project activities. The training had a great return and interest from the public. After the talk, a tour to the project fields took place. This consisted of visiting the plantations while the forestry engineer explained different aspects of them, its management, among other topics. Finally, the second training took place at Instituto Superior de Formación Docente de Gdor. Virasoro (ISFD). As in the Agrotechnical Institute, Laura and Alejandra gave a presentation on the Carbon Market and nature-based solutions (NBS). Once again, there was a large number of attendees, approximately 80, including students of Hygiene and Safety Technicature, teachers, authorities of the municipality, among others. We are very happy to know that the projects we advise generate interest in the actors involved and that future professionals in the field want to learn more about this innovative topic in the region.
