As in previous years, at ProSustentia we reaffirm our commitment to measure and neutralize our greenhouse gas emissions.
Our footprint
Durante 2024, nuestra huella total alcanzó 10,6 toneladas de CO₂e. In 2024, our total footprint reached 10.6 tCO₂e. Most of these emissions (78%) came from business travel, mainly related to certification projects—such as site visits, audits, and public consultations. Remote work accounted for
18% of our footprint, while the use of coworking spaces in Buenos Aires and Rosario, introduced in 2024, contributed the remaining 4%: 3% associated with site energy consumption and 1% with commuting to those spaces.
Evolution of our carbon footprint
Compared with our 2023 footprint (8.7 tCO₂e), emissions increased by 22%. This change is explained by the following source-specific variations: Este crecimiento se explica por las siguientes variaciones según fuente:
- Business travel: up 11%, due to more site visits and participation in carbon certification projects.
- Remote work: up 65%, associated with the addition of two new team members.
- Coworking and commuting: added as new emission sources starting in 2024, linked to the use of spaces in Buenos Aires and Rosario and travel to and from them.
Offsetting our emissions
As every year, we seek to neutralize our emissions through the purchase of carbon credits. For 2024, we did so by supporting the “Forteko afforestation on degraded grasslands under extensive grazing” project in Uruguay (https://registry.verra.org/app/projectDetail/VCS/962). This project was verified with ProSustentia’s support, and we are currently working toward its second verification.
At ProSustentia, we continue to make our impact transparent so we can better support the organizations that place their trust in us.
