Laura Amdan

NBS Projects Manager

Laura Amdan holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from UBA and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the same university. Her studies have focused on the consequences of deforestation on water resources at various landscape levels and the assessment of ecosystem services associated with land use.

Along with her research team, she actively participated in the implementation of the Forest Law, developed the first deforestation monitoring system, and collaborated on the book “The Place of Nature in Decision-Making” (Ed. Laterra).

Since 2017, she has coordinated consultancy projects for government agencies on the territorial impacts of public services related to water and sanitation, as well as urban waste.

Currently, she works with ProSustentia as the manager responsible for carbon certification of nature-based solutions (NBS).
